How Does HackWithInfy Work?

For the year 2021, HackWithInfy consists of just two rounds, with Round 1 serving as an online evaluation and Round 2 serving as a virtual Grand Finale. HackWithInfy registration is available through InfyTQ, the Infosys learning and interaction portal for engineering students in India.

If you are an InfyTQ customer, register for the competition by clicking on the HackWithInfy banner on the InfyTQ website homepage. If you are not already an InfyTQ user, build an account and register for HackWithInfy on the InfyTQ website.

HackWithInfy is open to all engineering students graduating in 2022 in India. Students with a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech degrees are eligible to apply.

What can you expect to win?

Winning Prize

The winner gets a cash prize of INR200,000 whereas the first runner-up gets a cash prize of INR100,000 and lastly the second runner-up gets a cash prize of INR50,000. The top 100 Round 1 finalists will qualify for the virtual Grand Finale and receive a pre-placement interview opportunity (PPI) for the Power Programmer position at Infosys.

System Requirements

Please check that the desktop/laptop device you plan to use to take the online test meets the framework specifications mentioned below. It is not advisable to take the exam on a smartphone or tablet device.

  • i3 Core or higher processor
  • RAM must be at least 4GB
  • A webcam that works
  • Google Chrome plugin version 70 or higher with pop-up blocker disabled (taking the exam using some other web browser is not recommended)
  • Secure Internet service with a minimum download speed of 2 Mbps and an upload speed of 1 Mbps
  • There should be no interruptions of the power supply for the length of the test

Round 1, the online evaluation round, is not a webcam proctored exam, but the second round, i.e., the virtual grand finale, is a webcam proctored exam.

Is InfyTQ easy?

The MCQ session is said to be reasonably easy. In this segment, questions are asked about DBMS, OOPS principles such as inheritance, algorithms, and data structures. The second segment is the coding section, which is a bit more difficult than the MCQ section. Students are encouraged to focus and study thoroughly for this portion, as it accounts for 60% of the total weightage in the exam. The exam does not have negative marking.

How many times can we give InfyTQ?

You can retake the exam one month after your first attempt and three months after your second attempt.

Round 1 will be held on 5th, 7th and 9th May 2021, and the final round is to take place from 2nd July to 5th July 2021.

Evaluation Parameters
The judging panel will review all Round 1 entries based on the following parameters:

1. The amount of test cases that the code passes is referred to as code efficiency.
2. The complexity levels of the problems are given marks, and the answers are tested accordingly.
3. Plagiarism is not encouraged, as it will result in derogatory marking.

Details About the HR Interview
For the System Engineer and System Specialist Engineer positions, there would be no HR interviews. However, for technical questions and tasks, here are some that can be asked during an interview.
